Resumen

Brassinosteroids (Brs) are a natural group of hormones which regulate different physiological and biochemical attributes in plants. We found that in citrus Br treatment induced a strong immune response that help young trees to cope better with diseases, including HLB. We have also found that following hurricane Ian there was slightly less fruit drop on mature trees treated with Brs. Finally, we discuss the potential of Brs in inducing cold tolerance, a possibility of special interest in North Florida.
