Abstract
This document provides an overview of horse bots, Gasterophilus spp., which are internal parasites of horses. It details their biology, life cycle, and seasonal abundance, highlighting the symptoms and damage they cause, such as stomach ulcers and esophageal paralysis. The article also discusses control measures, including grooming, insecticides, and veterinary treatments, to effectively manage horse bot infestations.
