Abstract
This publication provides an overview of various Veronica species, commonly known as wooly speedwell or speedwell. These herbaceous plants can grow between 2 to 18 inches tall and thrive in full sun or light shade. They are suitable for USDA hardiness zones 4 through 9A. The document discusses the plant’s moderate drought tolerance, growth habits, and uses in landscaping, such as ground cover, borders, and mass plantings. It also addresses common pests and diseases, including downy mildew and leaf spot. First published 1999.
