Abstract
Algunas enfermedades de animales puden ser transmitidas a los humanos. Los microrganismos que causan la enfermedad pueden ser protozoas, hongos, bacterias, clamydias o viruses (Jacobs y cols. 2003). Algunos ejemplos de enfermedades de las aves que son transmitidas a humanos incluyen clamydiosis de loritos, palomas y cotorras; y cryptococcocis de las palomas. Salmonella, E. coli, los viruses que causan la gripe de las aves (influenza aviar, influenza de aves), y algunos de los viruses que causan encefalitis están asociados con los pollos.
