Stanley I. Sandler is the H.B. du Pont Professor and Director of the Center for Molecular and Engineering Thrmodynamics at the University of Delaware, where he has also been the department chair and interim dean. He is author of the text Chemical and Engineering Thermodynamics (J. Wiley and Sons) and numerous papers. This year he was elected to the National Academy of Engineering and received the Warren K. Lewis Award of the AIChE.
