Resumen

Thermodynamic steam tables have been the workhorse of chemical engineering thermodynamics core courses for almost a century now. One would think that they are archaic residues of past teaching methods, especially considering the availability of modern electronic substitutes. However, as is argued within, the case is not so clear cut nor the answer to the proposed question so simple.
