Doug Cooper, University of Connecticut

Doug Cooper is Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Connecticut. His research focuses on developing control methods that are both reliable and easy for practitioners to use. He has studied the control of fluidized bed incineration, heat exchange, distillation, injection molding, surge tanks, and catalytic reactors.

Danielle Dougherty, University of Connecticut

Danielle Dougherty received a BS in Chemical Engineering from Widener University in 1997 and is currently working toward her PhD in Chemical Engineering under the direction of Doug Cooper at the University of Connecticut. Her current research interests include model predictive control and nonlinear adaptive control.
