Abstract

This Teaching Tip describes how resources from the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics, in particular the six ethical lenses and a framework for ethical decision making, are utilized in the context of a chemical engineering core course.  Examples of in-class discussion topics are provided as well as a written and oral presentation assignment description.  The in-class discussion, written assignment, and oral presentation assignment provide students with practice in applying the ethical lenses to technical topics.
