Surita R. Bhatia is an assistant professor in the ChE Department at the University of Massachusetts. She received her BChE from the University of Delaware, her PhD from Princeton University, and held a postdoctoral position at the CNRS/Rhodia Complex Fluids Laboratory. Her research interests are associative polymers, rheology, shear-induced structure, and structured cell encapsulation materials. She has taught mass balances and heat transfer at the undergraduate level and coteaches a graduate course on colloidal dispersions.
