Vemuri Balakotaiah, University of Houston

Vemuri Balakotaiah is Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Houston. He received his BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology (Madras) in 1978 and his PhD from the University of Houston in 1982, both in chemical engineering. His teaching and research interests are in the areas of chemical reaction engineering, multiphase flows, and applied mathematics.

Saikat Chakraborty, University of Houston

Saikat Chakraborty is a PhD candidate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Houston. He received his BTech from Jadavpur University in 1997 and his MS from the Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore) in 1999, both in chemical engineering. His research interests are in the areas of chemical reaction engineering and granular materials.
