Resumo
Type specimens of the extremely rare and/or poorly known species in the Argyrogrammana amalfreda (Staudinger, [1887]) complex (group "Bariniformes" of Stichel, 1911, 1930) are illustrated, with notes on taxonomy and distribution. In addition, five new species are describe from eastern Ecuador.
