OCCURRENCE OF RACES OF HETERODERA CAJANI IN UTTAR PRADESH, INDIA

Abstract

Fourteen populations of Heterodera cajani from different localities of seven districts of Uttar Pradesh, India were tested on nine different hosts to determine occurrence of races of pigeonpea cyst nematode. The results revealed the presence of three races. Race 1 reproduced on all the host tested. Race 2 did not reproduce on Cyamopsis tetragonoloba while race 3 did not reproduce on C. tetragonoloba and Crotalaria juncea.
