Abstract

Matricidal hatching was observed in well fed amphimictic females of Cruznema tripartitum. Tests using different concentrations of agar (0.5%, 1 %, 1.5%, 2% and 3%) showed that 1.5% was most suitable far matricidal as well as far the normal hatching and also far the number of juveniles hatched in both cases. Development up to the third juvenile stage within the body was observed in some females.
