About the Journal

Florida Libraries, the official journal of the Florida Library Association, provides a forum for sharing knowledge, research, experiences, and perspectives that advance the library and information profession in Florida and beyond.

The journal features work by library professionals, archivists, educators, students, researchers, and other cultural heritage and information professionals. Through research articles, field reports, professional reflections, case studies, editorials, and other scholarship, Florida Libraries highlights innovative programs, emerging technologies, successful partnerships, current professional issues, and evolving practices across the field.

The journal welcomes contributions that reflect the broad range of libraries and information organizations in Florida, including public, academic, school, and special libraries, while also encouraging work that addresses issues of wider relevance to the profession.

Florida Libraries is an open-access, peer-reviewed publication that welcomes contributions from both established professionals and emerging voices in the field.  The journal is published three times a year, with issues released in spring, summer, and fall.
