Life Cycle of Disholcaspis quercusvirens (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae) with a Description of the Sexual Generation
Abstract
The life cycle of Disholcaspis quercusvirens Ashmead (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae), a species previously known only from its asexual generation, is closed with the association of generations confirmed using molecular data. The description and diagnosis of the sexual generation of D. quercusvirens is given. Morphological and molecular data are used to determine that Disholcaspis quercussuccinipes Ashmead is a new synonym of D. quercusvirens.View this article in BioOne
