The Emergence of the supposed "Eradicated Measles Disease" Reignites Debates of Mandatory Vaccination Laws Among Divided Opinions

Abstract

Due to a decreased occurrence of small pox in the United States, our public health system no longer requires immunization for vaccines such as smallpox. The production of the vaccine has slowed, shifting the focus of creating vaccinations toward newer strains of prevalent diseases such as polio. However, the increased spread of the vaccine myth, and vaccine’s debatable side-effects, has had many parents swearing off vaccinating their children, citing personal beliefs.
