Abstract

Immatures of Orthos hyalinus (Bell, 1930), found on Phyllostachys aurea Carrière ex Rivière & C. Rivière, an exotic Poaceae, are described and illustrated herein for the first time. The three last instars, the shelter, and the pupa were recorded and are illustrated, and a female emerged from one of the resulting pupae. In addition, a brief discussion of larval and pupal morphology is provided.
