A new species of Brevioleria (Nymphalidae: Danainae: Ithomiini) from northeastern Brazil

Abstract

A new clearwing butterfly, Brevioleria maculele Freitas sp. nov., is described from the Atlantic Forest in northeastern Brazil. This species is not common and has been collected in only two localities in the coastal forests in the state of Bahia.
