Descriptions of four new species of fruit-feeding Tortricidae from Panama (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae)

Abstract

Four new species of Tortricidae reared from fruit in Panama are described and illustrated: Histura panamana sp. nov. (Chlidanotinae: Polyorthini); Spinipogon triangularis sp. nov. (Tortricinae: Cochylini); Ricula croceus sp. nov. (Olethreutinae: Grapholitini); and Ricula lacistema sp. nov. (Olethreutinae: Grapholitini). Additional field-collected specimens of Spinipogon triangularis from Costa Rica are included in the type series of that species.
