Yamato Colony: The Pioneers Who Brought Japan to Florida
Resumo
The book is highly recommended to anyone interested in Florida history, immigration history, and the Asian American experience more broadly. In 2021, Kawai’s Yamato Colony received the Harry T. and Harriette V. Moore Award from the Florida Historical Society, which recognizes an outstanding book or monograph relating to Florida's ethnic groups or dealing with a significant social issue from a historical perspective. It also contains multiple historical photographs, considerably enhancing the experience.
