Igede is a language that operates a nine vowel system. It displays harmony system constraint by pharyngeal constriction. Vowels fall into two harmonic sets of [+ATR] and [-ATR] with no overlap. Where we have disharmonic morphemes, our analysis shows that the harmony constraint remains unviolated.Downloads
