About the Journal

Mission: Perspectives on Arts in Health is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing practice and research in the arts in health discipline. Recognizing that knowledge is created in many ways, this multimedia journal aims to share best practices with artists, students, and individuals working at the intersections of arts, culture, community, health, and well-being.

Scope: Perspectives on Arts in Health links innovation and traditional practices, publishing original research, including case studies, book/media reviews, project reports, and recordings of performances in the general areas of (but not limited to):

  • Arts in Healthcare
  • Arts in Public and Community Health
  • Arts in Health and AI/Tech
  • Arts in Health Pedagogy

Journal publishing cycle: Twice a year

Perspectives on Arts in Health is supported by the UF Center for Arts in Medicine in collaboration with the International Arts + Mind Lab at Johns Hopkins and Stanford Arts.
