Abstract
The female color sequence of 34 potato cyst nematode populations was studied in order to determine which species occur in the Andes. Females with white-cream color sequence (Heterodera pallida Stone) were predominant, but it was found that the length of each color phase was variable. Females with yellow phase, not always predominant (H. rostochiensis Woll.), were found only in Southern Peru.
