Research Notes: Control Quimico de Xiphinema index en Vinedos de Chile

Abstract

The effect of three nonfumigant nematicides on the control of Xiphinema index of table grape var. Thompson Seedless was evaluated for three years. The efficacy of carbofuran, fenamiphos and ethoprop was evaluated with applications either in spring during budburst, fall after harvest or in both seasons. Populations of Xiphinema index were measured yearly together with yield and fruit quality from treated plants. There was no variation in nematode populations in treatments compared to control nor increase of yield or quality of fruit.
