Abstract

A total of seven peach, almond and peach x almond hybrids were evaluated to determine their reaction to M. incognita, M. hapla and M. javanica. Five rootstocks were susceptible to the three root-knot nematodes. 'Adafuel' was the most susceptible rootstock to the three species of Meloidogyne. 'Alcaniz' was the only rootstock that was more susceptible to M. javanica than to the other two species of root-knot nematodes. The peach rootstock 'GF-305' was moderately resistant to M. hapla, whereas the almond 'Moncayo' was moderately resistant to M. incognita. Meloidogyne incognita and M. javanica multiplied at a higher rate than M. hapla in all selections tested.
