A report of some Xiphinema species occurring in Peru (Nematoda, Dorylaimida)

Abstract

Eight species beloging to the genus Xiphinema Cobb are reported from Peru. Xiphinema brasiliense, x. floridae, X. inaequale, X. index, X. parilaliae and x. vulgare constitute new records for the country. X. peruvianum seems to be widespread in the Lima area. Additional material is needed to ascertain the status of Xiphinema sp. which probably represents an undescribed species.
