Abstract

Several soil samples taken around Istanbul contained representatives of interesting Tylenchid-species. One of those species was hitherto unrecorded and is described as a new one: Merlinius pseudobavaricus n. sp. Several large populations of what is considered Merlinius nan us (Allen, 1955) were studied to get an idea of the possible variability within this species. The species Aprutides guidettii Scognamiglio, 1974 was studied thoroughly. Some information will also be given on Merlinius brevidens (Allen, 1955) Siddiqi, 1970, Merlinius macrurus (Goodey, 1932) Siddiqi, 1970 and Trophurus imperialis Loof, 1955.
