Abstract

A restriction fragment extracted from Meloidogyne artiellia DNA was used as a molecular probe for the identification of severa! nematodes. The results obtained indicate the feasibility of using a specific DNA fragment in a molecular diagnostic test. Further, the results provide evidente that of the different Meloidogyne species tested, M. artiellia and M. hapla afe closely related.
