Abstract

Springs in the province of Granada were found to vary in pH, oxygen and iron concentrations. The present study analyzes the relationship between these parameters and nematode fauna encountered. Frequency percentages for each of the different orders present are given. The correlation between the percentage of Rhabditida specimens (particularly well represented in springs showing an absence of oxygen), oxygen concentration and amount of organic matter present is analyzed for each of the springs studied.
