Abstract

Hexamermis cochlearius sp. n. (Nematoda, Mermithidae) was found parasitizing nymphs of Dichroplus elongatus Giglio-Tos, 1894 (Orthoptera: Acridiidae) in Argentina. The species is characterized by the presence of a spoon-like concavity in the tip of each spicule.
