Twonewtaxa of Aegialiini (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Aphodiinae) are describedfromSouthAmerica: Argeremazus neuquen Stebnicka and Dellacasa, n.gen, n.sp, and Amerisaprus valdivia Stebnicka and Skelley, n.gen, n.sp. Both genera are presently monotypic. Discussion on the generic status of Caelius Lewis is presented. A key to genera and checklist of aegialiine taxa occurring in the New World are presented.
