Discoveries in Brazilian Cerambycoidea (Coleoptera): new species, synonymy, notes, and new geographical records

Abstract

Thirty-five new records of Cerambycidae and Disteniidae (Coleoptera) for Brazil are provided with notes, of which 32 are new state records and three are new country records. In Cerambycidae, two new species of Scleronotus White, 1855 are described from Brazil: S. ritae Santos-Silva, Nascimento and Flechtmann, new species; and S. tanabeae Santos-Silva, Nascimento and Flechtmann, new species. The problematic identification of S. stupidus Lacordaire, 1872 is discussed. Scleronotus anthribiformis Aurivillius, 1916 is synonymized with S. scabrosus Tomson, 1861.
