South American Cerambycidae (Coleoptera): new taxa, synonymy, notes, and new geographical records

Abstract

Chlorida inexpectata Martins, Galileo and Limeira-de-Oliveira, 2011 is synonymized with Chlorida denticulata Buquet, 1860 (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae). Notes on Sphallambyx Fragoso, 1982 are provided, with a change of the species-group name of S. superbum (Aurivillius, 1910). New country records are provided for Sphallambyx mexicanus Galileo and Martins, 2006 and Coleoxestia spinifemorata Fragoso, 1993. New state records are reported for Bebelis occulta (Bates, 1866) and Rhachicolus cristatus Galileo, 1987. Challustrophis antonkozlovi, new genus, new species, is described from Ecuador. An updated key to the genera of Sphallotrichina is presented.
