Abstract

We record for the first time the presence of the invasive Asian pest Amrasca biguttula (Ishida, 1913) (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) in Central America. Several specimens were obtained from an okra farm in the Choluteca Department, Honduras. We provide a diagnosis of the species and the damage it causes and review the literature for potential control strategies for several crop species.
