Notas sobre la identificación y distribución de Centris testacea Lepeletier (Hymenoptera: Anthophila; Apidae).

Abstract

La información sobre el área de distribución de Centris (Centris) testacea Lepeletier ha sido históricamente confusa. Se esclarece la identifi cación y distribución de la especie. Se presentan imágenes de la hembra y el macho, incluyendo los genitales del macho. Centris testacea es una buena especie, que no presenta nombres sinónimos. De acuerdo con la información disponible, debe considerarse endémica de la isla de La Hispaniola, Antillas Mayores.
