Abstract

Bonide mosquito larvicide oil was compared with GB-1111 and Vectobac 12AS against 3rd and 4th instar
Aedes taeniorhynchus, Culex quinquefasciatus and Culex nigripalpus larvae in laboratory and small plot field studies.
Bonide's spreadability equaled that of GB-1111, but left more sheen on the surface of the water, a potential
environmental concern. Bonide was significantly (P= 0.05) more effective against 3rd and 4th instar Ae.
taeniorhynchus and Cx. nigripalpus larvae than Cx. quinquefacsiatus larvae in both studies.
