Announcement: The Skagen Odde Model

Abstract

This brief paper describes the 1 in 5,000 horizontal, 1:200 vertical, model of the Skagen Odde (“odde" is spit) built at the Skagen Harbour in Denmark in 1994-1995. The paper gives the background, goals, geometrical and technical details of the model, its design and construction. Associated with the model are about 100 photos and technical drawings. The exhibit is open to the public and includes videos showing natures forces at work.
