Wave Transformation Over Submerged Obstacles In Finite Water Depths

A two-dimensional boundary value problem of interaction of linear waves with a submerged obstacle has been solved using the Green's Identity formula to evaluate its wave reflection characteristics. The effect of the height and length of the submerged rectangular harrier on its reflection characteristics is investigated. In addition, the effect of end corners of rectangular obstacles on the oscillating nature of the reflection coefficient has been clearly brought out by comparing it with the reflection coefficients obtained for trapezoidal and half-cylindrical obstacles.
