Abstract

This paper is a reply to the discussion by PILKEY and LEONARD (1990) of HOUSTON (1990). HOUSTON (1990) shows that LEONARD et al. (1990) is extremely flawed and cannot be used to reach valid conclusions about beachfill performance. PILKEY and LEONARD (1990) defend the analyses in LEONARD et al, (1990) and present additional information on references and methods used by LEONARD et al. (1990). This paper shows that this additional information further demonstrates that the conclusions of LEONARD et al. (1990 and PILKEY (1990) are based on erroneous data.
