Deirdre Q. Martin is a master of arts in international studies candidate at the University of Washington's Jackson School of International Studies Japan Studies
Program. She received her BA in international studies from the University of South Carolina, and spent a year studying at Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan.
Her research deals primarily with contemporary Japanese domestic politics and security issues.
