Abstract

This poem is about the aftermath of discovering I am intersex by birth and that I had a medically-unnecessary surgery as an assigned-female newborn.

Nik Lampe, Florida State University College of Medicine, Department of Geriatrics

Nik Lampe is a research assistant in the Department of Geriatrics at Florida State University and is a master's candidate in the Department of Soicology at University of Central Florida. Their research focuses on the health and healthcare experiences of queer, trans, and intersex populations across the life course.
