AI Statement

The Florida Undergraduate Research Journal does not condone the use of generative AI tools or platforms, such as ChatGPT and other open AI software, but rather holds the author(s) responsible for every aspect of the information presented in the articles submitted for publication. This includes, but is not limited to: the article’s content, data, organization and writing, proper academic formatting and citations, and other integral components so as to ensure author responsibility, integrity, and the avoidance of plagiarism. 

The author(s), however, may use generative AI tools and platforms for the following: creating graphs or other visual aids, and Grammarly to review the syntax of the article prior to submission. If used, the Florida Undergraduate Research Journal guidelines require the author(s) to clearly disclose what tool or platform was used and how it was implemented. 

The Florida Undergraduate Research Journal and/or disciplinary reviewers may use generative AI tools or platforms if there is suspicion that the author(s) used AI beyond the scope of the guidelines provided.
