Abstract
Thirty-three cool-season turfgrasses were overseeded on a TifSport' bermudagrass fairway on 31 Oct. 2000 and on a Tifdwarf bermudagrass putting green on 2 Nov. 2000 at Gainesville, Fla. Both studies terminated on 31 May 2001. On the fairway, grasses with best seasonal turf quality scores, which averaged 7.1 on a scale of 1 to 9 where 9 = best, included perennial ryegrass cultivars of 'Amazing', 'Bayou', Fiesta 3', 'Professional Select', 'ProSport', 'Protocol II', 'SE Eagle II', 'Sunrise Primo Elite', 'Vibrant', and 'Combgrass'. On the putting green, grasses with best seasonal turf quality scores, which averaged 6.4, included 'Combgrass', 'Grandmaster Mix', 'Greens Mix', and 'Penncross' creeping bentgrass.
