Abstract
Decision Information Systems for Citrus (DISC) is a collection of computerized decision modules developed for citrus production. These modules address rootstock selection, copper spray scheduling, tree growth analysis, operation management planning and scheduling. DISC includes a database management system to perform record-keeping tasks. A Geographic Information System (GIS) component is embedded to show grove maps and other spatial information for planning and scheduling purposes. The DISC software can run through the Internet via Web browsers or can be distributed via CD-ROM to run locally as a stand-alone program. Currently, several modules have been completed. A field test of the copper spray scheduling module was conducted in the spring of 1999. The results of that test are presented.
