Telling Your Story to Raise Funds for Your Library
Abstract
The purpose of this submission is to share easy to implement tips and suggestions for library employees to secure philanthropic funding for their library. Specific examples are provided to enable the reader to quickly learn how to identify their library funding priorities; how to effectively share this information with stakeholders/constituents; how to effectively utilize Friends of the Library Boards for fundraising purposes; how to promote a variety of ways donors can support one’s library; how to utilize one on one as well as mass communications to keep donors and stakeholders engaged with the library; etc.
