Abstract

The article explains how artificial intelligence (AI) can significantly improve library services by helping reference librarians and catalogers work more accurately and efficiently. AI refers to computer programs that can perform tasks usually done by humans, such as learning, language understanding, and decision-making. In libraries, AI tools like chatbots can answer common questions, recommend resources, and provide personalized suggestions based on users' previous interactions. Translation tools powered by AI can help people who speak different languages access information more easily. The document also notes that while many AI tools are available from companies like Adobe, OpenAI, and Google, some advanced programs require internet access and are not freely downloadable. Overall, embracing AI in libraries can make information more accessible, user-friendly, and tailored to individual needs.
