Research Reports: Lista de Moscas Blancas (Homoptera: Aleyrodidae) y sus Plantas Hospederas en Venezuela
Abstract
List of Whiteflies (Homoptera, Aleyrodidae) and their Host Plants in Venezuela. A survey of whiteflies (Homoptera: Aleyrodidae) in Venezuela was made by collecting leaves of plants containing colonies of these insects, at different locations. It resulted in a total of 19 genera, and 20 determined and 12 undetermined species, that were colonizing cultivated plants and weeds belonging to 27 botanical families. The whiteflies and their hosts are arranged alphabetically in the list. Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) was the commonest species collected. Specimens representing a new genus near Tetraleurodes were collected on Pachira insignis (Swartz) Sav.Downloads
