Abstract

Two new species of Psychoda from northern Puebla, Mexico, are described and illustrated based on male and female characters. Psychoda capitipenis n. sp. belongs to the Alternata complex or to the genus Tinearia Schellemberg (sensu Jezek), whereas Psychoda plumbea n. sp. is similar to P. cinerea, P. tothastica and P. elegans. Both of them are considerably different from all other species of the genus previously described.
