Abstract

A new species, Ptenothrix (Ptenothrix) austalis is described from Georgia, South Carolina and Florida. The species can be identified by color pattern and chaetotaxy. Dicyrtoma (Dicyrtomina) rossi (Wray) is redescribed from new material. Evidence is presented that may lead to placing this species in a new subgenus. New collection records for 3 little known species are presented: Ptenothrix (Dicyrtoma) fusca (Lubbock), Ptenothrix (Ptenothrix) macomba Way and Ptenothrix (Ptenothrix) curvilineata (Wray).
