Terrestrial Arthropods of Northwest Florida Salt Marshes: Araneae and Pseudoscorpiones (Arachnida)
Abstract
A description of the species of arachnids inhabiting various vegetational zones in northwest Florida salt marshes is presented. Data on qualitative abundance, habitat preference, and seasonality are given for each of 47 species collected during the 15-month study. Sergiolus ocellatus (Walck.) (Gnaphosidae) is reported from Florida for the first time, and the collection of Misumenops bellulus (Banks) (Thomisidae) is a northernmost record for the state. A new genus and species of pseudoscorpion is also reported.Downloads
